Bakewell
This years Bakewell Show will feature show jumping, champion animals, floral art and a food and farming market. The Dog Section has been granted Premier Status which means that every best in breed winner will qualify for Crufts. There will also be a visit from Titan, the ultimate robot creation, who has to be seen to be believed. There is a charge for this event

The Beach is back for a third year in the City Centre. The two days of seaside fun will include a sandy beach, complete with deckchairs, buckets and spades, brass bands, donkey rides, ice cream sellers, food stalls (traditional fish and chips and candyfloss to name but two), entertainers and, of course, Punch and Judy. This event is free.
