SARF Website Strategy
Eat Sheffield Web Strategy
The Eat Sheffield website strategy will deliver the correct balance of content mix which will play on two key focus levels. The first level will be focused on pushing the regions food offering and the second level
will focused upon leveraging the city's leisure opportunities. Both elements must work together if we are to elevate the profile of the Sheffield area as a culinary destination. Crucial to the SARF project is how we initiate our marketing strategy and the post progress on promotions. Success often hinges on how we communicate our goals, serving the right message to the right audience at the right time. Important too is how we establish, deliver and maintain the desirous high profile of the Eat Sheffield brand.
Eat Sheffield Brand Interpretation
The Eat Sheffield website is in essence a new and vibrant city entertainment guide brought to us by our regions restaurateurs, chefs and local food and drink operators. Eat Sheffield is the city's leisure information resource, assisting locals and city visitors on how best to plan their food, drink and lifestyle choices.
Delivery of Content Mix
Internet research bureaus tell us that people read internet articles if served with compelling, contextual information devoid of fluff. However, hard line data suggests people mostly don't read—they skim, they scan, they print pages or PDFs.
Eat Sheffield will hack away the fluff and elevate key messages by weaving food, drink and eateries with theatre, cinema, festivals and concerts events. Strengthening this relationship is the key to ensuring users and consumers think more and more about the connection between food, drink and other city leisure activity.
Eateries Menus aligned with City Event Activities
One of Eat Sheffield's developing core activities will be to integrate our regions dining offerings with local and visitors interests in arts, entertainment, fashions, festivals and destination events. Food, drink and event matching will assist in enhancing up-lift in people's out-of-home dining activity.
SARF focus groups need to engage, agree, plan and schedule a range of event menus aligned to compliment with city event activities. Examples would be to offer 'Verdi' theatre goers an Italian opera themed menu. Eat Sheffield pages will promote such opera productions through our own intermediate pages whilst cross-promoting special pre-theatre Italian themed menus before users proceed to link through to theatre site. Eat Sheffield is focused as a promotion and feeder site.
Content Production
The Eat Sheffield resource is a mix of new and third-party generated content. In essence Eat Sheffield is a feeder website focused on supplying users with information of relevance related to restaurants, food and drink and local lifestyle choices. All third party content will be credited.

Summary
The Eat Sheffield brand and leisure content is focused on making sure every day in Sheffield is a distinct, enjoyable and exciting experience shared with the joy of eating in the region's many restaurants, gastro pubs, cafes and deli's!
