Sheffield Area Restaurant Forum (SARF) is fully supportive of developing restaurant access to the region's meat, fruit and veg supply chain. SARF with the help of Sheffield Hallam University (SHU) and the Food Innovation Project is currently conducting market research with restaurateurs to determine road blocks related to local supply chain. Our aim is to create a family of restaurateurs committed to the enhancement of sector quality, exploring issues that improve our standing as an epicentre for food and drink and working collaboratively with local government and public sector to create action rather than words. The aforementioned research project will help assist and advise local government food agency officers of potential and support for local food usage. We will also offer our views on how to tackle issues concerning food distribution and best framework to support our local economy of growers and producers.
