Platillos has the sort of cutting-edge design that is making this venue a big hit with the bright young professionals of our city. Downstairs is a 200-capacity bar and a terrace overlooking the square with room for another 40 diners. Upstairs there is a 90-cover restaurant where the decour is rustic with red-brick walls, aluminium ducting and polished concrete floors and in keeping with history of this building huge Georgian windows overlooking the courtyard below.

Platillos is that it's a home-grown venture, run by Malcolm Schooling and Craig Smith, who also have the Wig & Pen in Campo Lane.
