The Blue Room Restaurant was opened in April 2001 by Christian Kent after moving back from London. He originally trained under Ian Greer and Kevin Woodford and his CV includes Claridges and the Savoy in London and working for Sir Benjamin Slade and Robin Birley, of the Goldsmith family.  The Blue Room Brasserie was voted Sheffield’s Restaurant of the Year 2005, by West Side magazine, thanks to a combination of great fresh food, excellent wine cellar and friendly atmosphere. The food at the Blue Room Brasserie is described as Anglo European with an influence of Eastern cuisine.
