Wig & Pen Opens after Major Refurb
 After 3 months of building work in Paradise Square and a brief 10 day closure the new look Wig & Pen will now open. The completely re-modelled and extended interior has the same attention to detail that the Wig & Pen team have always prided themselves on, and is the perfect place for customers to share and enjoy their passionate commitment to quality food, drink and entertaining.
 The Wig & Pen’s acclaimed modern, relaxed and comfortable feel is now across two floors and as been designed with customers needs in mind. The design team has embraced the Georgian aesthetic of the historic Paradise Square and Cathedral Quarter, extended the bar area and added a bespoke dining room downstairs and a new utside seating space in the Square. To compliment the new surroundings, a new bar & lunch menu has been devised, and to suit the new dining room a sublime selection of traditional British fare is on offer along with an updated selection of world class beverages.
THE DINING ROOM Chef Alex Shaw will be presenting locally sourced food, fresh, seasonal and with the emphasis on its provenance and preparation. Classic British recipes will be reinvented with a modern twist. Combined with experienced staff and a relaxed setting in their Georgian dining room, it will make for a unique eating experience.

A WORD FROM CHEF, ALEX SHAW “Wherever possible we source all our ingredients locally, from sustainable and traceable sources, ensuring a fresh, seasonal and regional flavour is the foundation for our modern ‘Best Of British' menu. From the simplicity of the humble home-made pork pie to sublime slow braised lamb breast, the classic flavours of the land, sea and field will be cooked to perfection at their seasonal peak.”
BAR As an independent free house the Wig and Pen can select the best products from around the world. With a selection of classic cocktails, an extensive hand picked wine list, CAMRA award winning cask ales and premium European lagers, there will continue to be something for everyone. A new lunch menu will be on offer ranging from expertly made sandwiches, home-made pork pie, hearty stews and inventive salads. In addition the celebrated tapas menu will be available all day.
A BIGGER, MULTI LEVEL SPACE MAKES FOR GREATER FLEXIBILITY. The Wig & Pen’s dramatic re-design and expansion means they can now cater for an even wider range of events and functions: Dining room facilities for 50 sit-down guests, or 75 at a standing buffet with space to overspill onto the cobbled terrace. Extended bar area for functions from a dozen people to 200. Wedding receptions, private parties and large or small scale group entertaining facilities. Versatile business space for a simple one to one with a valued client, networking and business meetings, client hospitality or large scale corporate events.
