G Casino will be holding a lamb extravaganza during the Sheffield Food Festival. They have sourced two 18kg lambs from Border View Farm in Bradway, Sheffield and will be making special dishes with them all weekend. Come along and try one of the wonderful locally sourced recipes.

The Sheffield Food Festival returns to the city during the weekend of September 14th - 16th. Designed to encourage and promote all that is culinary about Sheffield, La Mama will be contributing one event to the weekend long programme:
September 15th - Children's cooking class - all children and parents are welcome to learn how to cook a choice of traditional Latin Tapas dishes. Children will be taught how to create and cook a choice of dishes from our menu - free for all the family - from 12pm.

This year, Wortley Country Festival will be bigger and better than ever!
We will be sited on a new field close to Wortley Hall within walking distance of Wortley Village ~ why not make a weekend of it & visit this beautiful part of the countryside?

Due to popular demand, The Milestone’s renowned cookery schools are back! Our courses give you the opportunity to learn new skills in a friendly and informal atmosphere.
Each full day course includes coffee on arrival, lunch with a glass of wine, and afternoon coffee. Courses begin at 10:30am (max 8 people) and finish @ 4pm, unless otherwise stated, and cost £110pp.
All Cookery School courses are held at the Wig & Pen
Examples of dishes from previous courses:
• Fricasse of baby chicken with mushrooms
• Chicken liver sage and puy lentil broth
• Frissie pasta with lambs kidney, savoy cabbage and whole grain mustard sauce
• Pan fried lambs heart bruchetta with sautéed mushrooms and a tarragon butter sauce
• Flank of beef with crisp asian vegetables soy and sesame dressing
