What's On - Calling all Sheffield Food Lovers!!
Stuck for ideas, searching for something to do or somewhere to go... look in our what's on guide and find out what's happening at your favourite Restaurants: Events, Tasting Evenings, New Menus, Cookery schools etc.
If you're after a bargain, have a look at the selected special offers and promotions available.
Despite the vile weather and the disappointing football, Appetite Sheffield is feeling rather social and we want to socialise with food lovers like you.
So, on Thursday 26 July we’re holding an Appetite Social event in the upstairs bar of Great Gatsby (http://www.thegatsbybar.co.uk/) from 6.30 to 8.30. It will be an evening of chatting and networking; the perfect opportunity to meet other food lovers and share food stories and tips.
You’ll also have the chance to show off your culinary skills in our ‘Pimp Your Pie’ competition. So, if you’re feeling up for a bit of friendly competition bring along your finest pie. Each will be judged by some of the best food producers and chefs this city has to offer and you could win a CASH prize!
Given that it is summer (although you may not quite believe it) ‘Pimp Your Pie’ entrants need to produce a pie suitable for serving cold. You can either produce individual pies or a whole pie for slicing; just ensure that you bring at least 6 servings so there is enough for the Judges and some to share with your new food loving friends. You can enter your pie into any number of the categories ‘Meat-a-licious Pie’, ‘Veg-tastic pie’, ‘Most Innovative Pie’ and ‘Overall Cham-pie-on’, and if you want to increase your chances of winning, then just bring more than one pie!
Please confirm if you’d like to attend to email@example.com , and let us know whether you will be entering the ‘Pimp Your Pie’ competition. Please note that there is an entrance fee of £2 to be paid (to cover nominal costs and the cash prize) on the door and that places are strictly limited.
We hope to see you there!
