Wed 16th May 12 Cake Auction

This year Komal Mononoke will be holding a few cake auctions to raise money for various charities.
Komal will be using Ebay to auction off the cakes.

Each cake will be handmade by Komal with natural and wholesome ingredients and the winner can choose from 3 options as well as request a gluten free/ vegan cake if she or he so desires.

The plan is to have five seperate cake auctions, starting on the 18th of april with one being held every week until the 16th of may.

Each auction will be raising money for a selected charity. A quick summary of the charity will be added alongside the details for the cake.

There will be three different varieties of cakes for the winner to choose from and will be freshly baked by Komal the day after the auction has finished.

The cake then belongs to the winner, who will feel satisfied from their good deed and then satisfied again once they have enjoyed the cake.

Inspiration struck Komal one day when she was contemplating the amount people are willing to pay to eat good, home made cake.

Komal thought about how amazing it would be to have some sort of cake auction to raise money for charity!

There is a sponser page set up, seperately from the auctions so that people can donate that way if they wish. Money raised on the page will be split between the five charities.

Below are the five charities Komal has choosen to use:

1.the hunger project because I think its fantastic that by selling a few cakes here in sheffield we can raise money to give food to people in the poorer parts of the world.
2.malaria no more - I chose this because of how little is needed to save lives, only £5 is enough for a mosquito net for 2 people.
3.sheffield cat shelter - I am a big cat lover, having adopted my cat from the shelter and wanting to take every feline friend home whenever I visit, it only makes sense that I support their temporary loving home.
4.save the children I chose because its an amazing charity and helps the most vulnerable of people - children.
5.water for africa is the final charity and I chose it because people may take the abundance of fresh clean water for granted over here but in africa they are so grateful. I hope to raise money to make a difference to someones life out there.
