Further Information
The Samuel Fox is a country Inn serving traditional and contemporary cuisine, using local, fresh ingredients & home-made produce. Located in the beautiful countryside of Derbyshire’s Peak National Park, the rustic charm of this village Inn and hotel provides an ideal retreat from the hustle & bustle of daily life. A recently combined restaurant and bar affords the Inn a sense of space and light, which is further enhanced by the large windows, providing customers with glorious views of the surrounding countryside. Tasteful décor and blazing log fires imbue a rustic charm, combined with a very genuine welcome and excellent customer service, that provides a sense of old-fashioned hospitality to make anyone feel right at home. There is an emphasis in our menus on the use of home-made produce; fresh baked bread and fine chutneys and preserves. Our Chef, Charlie, cooks ‘real’ food, utilising fresh, local ingredients, with fresh seafood delivered daily, and provides a selection of contemporary dishes to enhance a more traditional Country Inn menu. The menu is so good it's hard to choose between such delicacies as ham hock terrine, slow braised shoulder of lamb, bread and butter pudding with custard, and local Bradwell ice creams. Morning coffee and afternoon cream teas are always available, with home-made scones, lashings of clotted cream, and fresh-cut sandwiches.
