Further Information

The term 'Nawaab' literally means viceroy/representative of Royalty. In 1947, the Indian subcontinent had 528 principalities each of which had its own ruler - The Nawaab. A Nawaab enjoyed a lavish lifestyle.
They were patron of the arts, architecture, martial arts, horsemanship, beautiful gardens and flowers, poetry and last but not least exquistie food and wine.
The Nawaab group of restaurants opened their flagship restaurant back in 1987 on Manor Row in Bradford. Our commitment to providing a culinary experience fit for Nawaab ensured our success and in turn we have seen our group expand to Huddersfield, Leeds, Manchester and even Spain.
The Nawaab name has become synonymous with high quality traditional Indian cuisine and we regularly attract famous personalities. We have had the pleasure of catering for the likes of: The Late Princess Diana, Ian Botham, Imran Khan, Frank Bruno, the Australian Cricket Team and Dickie Bird.
At Nawaab restaurant, we are trying to preserve a culture, a tradition and a standard in culinary taste and liqour. We hope you enjoyed you dining experience and our promise to you is that you will be treated in Nawaabi tradition.
