eat Sheffield congratulates the winners and finalists of the
2009 Restaurant Awards!
With nearly 3000 votes via email and text, firstly a very big thank you to all those of you who have supported the awards by voting for your favourite restaurants. The range and diversity of eateries nominated by our voters this year has been incredible and shows that Sheffield has some really great places to eat with something to suit everyones taste and pocket. The awards are evolving into this City and region's premier event where the skill, creativity and diversity, not too mention the economic importance of our great restaurant sector is recognised and celebrated.
Without the generosity of our sponsors we would not have been able to make the event happen so a very big thank you also to the folowing: tdc, our audio visual sponsor; Slave to the Vine, for providing drinks for the reception; Cutlers' Hall, our magnificent venue; Doub7e 7 entertainment for the magician and disco; Our Cow Molly for the delicious ice-cream. And our category sponsors: Brownill Vickers, Creative Sheffield, Hospitality Sheffield; the Centre for Food Innovation at the Sheffield Business School, Cafeology, Tangible & Capita. And lastly a very big thank you to the local florists who so generously provided the beautiful flower arrangements: Pollen Technic, FlowersforLaura, Floral Magic; Orchis Floral Design; Pinks, the Wortley Flower Shop, Poppy's Florist and Plantology.
