Thu 11th Mar 10 Chef Andy hopes for a hot bestseller
Cooking up ideas for fundraising can be difficult – but chef Andy Gabbitas and his wife Toni knew exactly where to start.
As proprietors of the Wortley Arms, the couple decided to utilise their culinary expertise and create a cook book, with 100% of the proceeds going to Marie Curie Cancer Care.They roped in broadcaster and comedian Toby Foster who, along with friends and suppliers, donated his time to the project free of charge. Then they set about compiling more than 30 mouth-watering recipes – many of them regulars on the Wortley Arms menu, including Andy's hitherto secret recipe for the famous Wortley venison.
